Players using Martingale Strategy are more likely to play with small bets like 1$ . The strategy is quite simple . Place your bet on red/black or odd/even , if you win that's all good . If you lose double the bet (if you bet 1$ and lost then your next bet has to be 2$ ) , if you win, take the cash and bet the same amount you did the first time . If you lose again you have to double it again , so, if you lose twice, your 3rd bet will be 4$ , 4th - 8$ , 5th - 16$ and so on... you get the idea . The winnings aren't big , considering , if you lose 4 times in a row , after winning you will only be 1$ ahead than you were before those 4 losses , but it's stable .
